How to use Ora to manage projects as a project manager

Every successful project needs a project manager.

In this article, we'll show you how to use the Agenda to organize your work, assign tasks to team members, and plan them out!

Creating a To-do List

Once you have your Backlog full of tasks ready to be done, it's time to prioritize them. Create a To-Do list and move the most critical tasks to it from the Backlog. We suggest keeping your Backlog in a Frozen state and the To-Do list in an open state.

Estimate the tasks (Optional)

This step is optional but can be very beneficial for you. If you've set a schedule for your tasks, later, you'll be able to see how much time in hours you've assigned to each of your team members.

Schedule the work

It's time to navigate to the Agenda. On the top toolbar, you have filters, and you can filter tasks by Team Member, Project, and Task State.

Set the task state to "Open" and you'll see only the tasks in your To-Do List.

We believe it's best to schedule the work for each member individually. Select any of your team members and schedule his work.

Repeat this step for all of your team members, and you're ready!

You can now visualize how much work each of your team members has and your team as a whole.

Conclusion

Scheduling the work for your team members can be beneficial in many ways. One of the most important is productivity. Your team will never again wonder what to do next, and all the work will be scheduled for them. All they need to do is jump to the Agenda and see the tasks for today.
